| Matt proposed on Friday, November 18th, 2005. He was
supposed to take me out to a "birthday dinner" until I complained
that it was too cold to wear a dress! When he got in town Thursday
night, he begged me to go on a walk with him because he really wanted
to take pictures of Sparty and of Beaumont Tower, but I was in no
mood for a walk and he could not convince me to go. Friday, I made
Matt come watch my band practice, so he told me that because he sat
in the cold for 2 hours watching the marching band, I HAVE to go on
a walk with him later to take some pictures. We went to Sparty..and
none of the pictures were coming out...so we went to Beaumont Tower.
I tired taking pictures, but only the one came out..barely! Matt said
"Let me try with my camera..." (I didn't realize that he
didn't actually have his camera with him!) Instead, he pulled out
the ring, got down on one knee, and said "Shaye, will you marry
me?" Of course I said yes! |
